Syd's 3 Favorite Burgers in Chicago
I try to stay away from eating red meat, but I do give in once in a while for a top quality burger or steak. Here are my 3 favorite burgers in Chicago (in no particular order). They are so delicious and worth the calories.
Mott Street: The burger here is unexpectedly good considering Mott Street is Asian Fusion cuisine, but it’s the perfect twist to a cheeseburger. It’s only available outside on the patio or at the bar and is made with miso butter, jalapeno pickles, american cheese, hoisin aioli and topped with sweet potato crunch.
Eight Bar (Maple & Ash): I had this for brunch recently and savoured every bite. It’s a double cheese burger patty with american cheese, mayo and pickle.
Hogsalt Cheeseburger: This burger can be found at many of Hogsalt Restaurant Groups establishments including Au Cheval, Gilt Bar, Bavettes, 3 Arts Club, etc. It’s so simple but so good. I prefer to get it without egg or bacon. The burger is made with american cheese, aioli, pickle and a little onion relish. Must get with fries and their garlic aioli which are so good!
What are your favorite cheeseburgers in Chicago?
