I try to stay away from eating red meat, but I do give in once in a while for a top quality burger or steak.  Here are my 3 favorite burgers in Chicago (in no particular order). They are so delicious and worth the calories.  

  • Mott Street: The burger here is unexpectedly good considering Mott Street is Asian Fusion cuisine, but it’s the perfect twist to a cheeseburger. It’s only available outside on the patio or at the bar and is made with miso butter, jalapeno pickles, american cheese, hoisin aioli and topped with sweet potato crunch.

  • Eight Bar (Maple & Ash): I had this for brunch recently and savoured every bite. It’s a double cheese burger patty with american cheese, mayo and pickle.

  • Hogsalt Cheeseburger: This burger can be found at many of Hogsalt Restaurant Groups establishments including Au Cheval, Gilt Bar, Bavettes, 3 Arts Club, etc. It’s so simple but so good. I prefer to get it without egg or bacon.  The burger is made with american cheese, aioli, pickle and a little onion relish. Must get with fries and their garlic aioli which are so good!
