Beauty Pie Review

I first learned about Beauty Pie last Thanksgiving when my sister, Blythe, explained the concept to me and showed me her favorite products.  I was immediately sold on their products after recognizing their high quality and prices that literally cannot be beat. Beauty Pie sells skin care, make up, hair care products, perfumes and candles.  They’re always adding new products which is great.

What is it

As listed on their site, “Beauty Pie is the first ever buyers club for beauty addicts. Members have access to the world's leading beauty labs but can buy up to 5X more because of the pricing model.  You get the same luxury quality cosmetics and high performance skincare, without paying for the middlemen, the celebrity marketing or retailer costs.”

Cost Transparency

The company is all about cost transparency.  Beauty Pie costs include packaging & product, NPD safety & testing, packaging/warehousing. The site lists each product’s typical retail price, and a membership price that reflects what members actually pay, to show the value you get through them.

As an example, one of my favorite products is an anti-aging face cream that normally retails for $130;  Beauty Pie members pay only $12.78 with their subscription! I’m all about a good deal and good quality so this is the perfect type of product/business model for my appetite.  It also allows me to try/test new products that I wouldn’t normally splurge on without breaking the bank.

How it Works

  1. There are different membership tiers that are associated with spending limits on Beauty Pie’s website. I pay $10 a month and get $100 Beauty Pie dollars.

  2. You can spend as much as your limit allows each month. If you don’t spend the $100 each month it rolls over to the next. I like this since I usually buy beauty products in bulk and less frequently. I’ve done two shipments since joining in November.

  3. You do have to pay the cost for shipping which has stayed under $10 for me.

I’ve been incorporating Beauty Pie products as part of my routine while still using the products I love from mainstream brands.  In my last order they sent me 2 free mascaras and 2 lip colors to test out which I totally appreciate as a customer.

Every one of Beauty Pie’s products are cruelty free, although not every product is vegan due to some containing animal derivatives.
