What Spa to Visit in Chicago

If you follow us on Instagram, you have probably realized that I am a big fan of a good spa day and pampering myself. To me, there is nothing more relaxing and luxurious than a massage followed by lunch poolside.

Below are the spas I have visited in Chicago with the service I got at each!

  • Chuan Spa at The Langham

    • Treatment: Chuan Chicago Signature Customized Massage

    • Price: $220

    • Review: This is by far my favorite spa in Chicago. The locker room has two saunas, a steam room, and heated ergonomic chairs that I seriously could have napped on all day. Also, the massage was one of the best I have ever had. You’ll pay a bit of a premium for this spa, but it’s so worth it! They also gave me and all my sisters a complimentary glass of champagne since it was my birthday!

  • Spa at Four Seasons Chicago

    • Treatment: Magnificent Mile Massage

    • Price: $160

    • Review: This spa has a small locker room without a ton of amenities, but my massage was great. I also went for my birthday and they brought me a cupcake with a note. I love when places go the extra mile to make your experience special.

  • The Waldorf Astoria Spa

    • Treatment: The Waldorf Signature Massage

    • Price: $180

    • Review: I have been here twice and honestly there are pros and cons. It is the best place for a girls day since they have a small outdoor terrace, a hot tub, pool, sauna and steam room.  The outdoor area is nice if you want to grab lunch after your service, and even in the winter they have lounge areas where you can enjoy some food and a glass of champagne. The massages have never been my favorite, and last time I was here my room was very noisy - I could hear someone having a conversation almost the entire time. Not the relaxing hour I was hoping for but Syd was in another room at the same time and her massage was great and no issues with sound.  I’d recommend you ask for a quiet room when going to make sure you have a positive experience.

  • AIRE Ancient Baths

    • Treatment: The Ancient Thermal Bath

    • Price: $99

    • Review: This place is very unique. There are numerous baths, both hot and cold, as well as steam rooms that you spend 90 minutes hanging out at your own leisure. I will say, going on a weekday is better than a weekend since it can get busy, but they do limit guests to try to make sure your experience is relaxing. I’m always bummed when my time is up! This a fun thing to do with your significant other or group of girlfriends and the price is pretty reasonable too.

  • Allyu Spa

    • Treatment: Couple’s Retreat including a 60 minute couples massage, robed relaxation in the meditation tent, 30 minute infrared sauna, private shower rooms and side-by-side spa pedicures

    • Price: $390

    • Review: This spa is very relaxing - you don’t get the amenities of a luxury hotel, but in many ways that makes the experience more relaxing. This treatment is a great treat for any couple too!
