Girls Weekend in Toronto
Last month Syd and I went to a bachelorette party in Toronto and had the best time exploring this amazing city! We shopped, ate at some amazing restaurants and got blowouts at the cutest spa. If you’re planning a trip there soon, definitely check out some of our favorite places below!
Where to eat
Coffee shops & bakeries
Quantum Coffee - this a great place to pickup a good cup of coffee and a quick breakfast pastry. They have a small outdoor patio in the back where you can sit, sip your coffee and chat!
Milk bar - if you don’t know about Milk Bar, you are missing out! This New York based bakery is unbelievable and we couldn’t pass up the opportunity to pick up some sweets to take home with us. The cake truffles are my favorite!
Neo Coffee Bar - a great, modern looking coffee shop located in Corktown. We stopped here for a few coffees while we waited for a table at Bodega Henriette
Lunch
Cafe Landwer - Financial District - we ended up here twice on our three day trip! Not only do they have amazing food (and a lot of vegan options for any vegans out there), they also have a to-go bar in the back where you can get a coffee or a juice made. Loved the food and fun diner ambiance
Bodega Henriette - this restaurant has a charming, homey vibe that’s hard not to love. We came for brunch, but the restaurant serves all meals! I would definitely come back to try dinner here.
Cibo Wine Bar - this Italian restaurant would probably be even better for dinner, but it was perfect for a large group. We were able to share a few apps, salads and pizzas which were all delicious!
Dinner
Carmen - West Queen West - a tapas restaurant with a huge back patio, this was the perfect dinner place if you want to sit outside. We ordered a bunch of small plates and shared among the group. Each dish was amazing.
Grey Gardens - Kensington Market - this restaurant offers a prix fixe menu that is served family style and was delicious. A great place for foodies! I am a pescatarian and I was still able to enjoy most of the dishes.
What to do
Schedule a spa treatment at Her Majesty’s Pleasure - this spa was the perfect place for a girls day out. The space was chic, equipped with a bar at the front offering champange, cocktails, kombucha and snacks, a seating area to enjoy your beverages and then a bunch of manicure, pedicure and blowout stations throughout. Seriously wish they would open one of these in Chicago!
Shop on Queen street - this street had tons of great stores, but my favorite was Saje Natural Wellness. They sell all natural products and I found out they now have locations in California, New York and New Jersey!
